This policy describes how CulturePulse ("we", "our") collects and uses information when you visit culturepulse.media. We keep this simple because we do not build advertising profiles, sell your data, or do anything you would not expect from a straightforward editorial publication.
What we collect
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how readers find and use CulturePulse — which articles are read, how long readers spend on pages, and where traffic comes from. This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not track individual readers across the web.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records standard server log data: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These logs are used for security and debugging and are not shared with third parties.
Cookies. We use a single first-party cookie to remember your dark/light mode preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
What we do not collect
We do not require account registration to read CulturePulse. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly. We do not use advertising networks that track you across websites.
Third-party services
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Supabase. Images on CulturePulse are served through Supabase Storage's content delivery network. Supabase may log image requests per their own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal personal data, there is likely very little to access or erase. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@culturepulse.media.
Data retention
Server logs are retained for 30 days. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention settings (14 months). Direct correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve the matter.
